This website does not hold case files or confirm whether a person has a warrant. Contact the office that issued or maintains the record. A Galveston County Sheriff search, a district or county clerk file, and a municipal citation are separate records; one office may not see another court’s current entry.

The Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Division maintains a central repository for district, county, and some Justice of the Peace warrants. The Sheriff Records Division accepts written public-record requests by email, mail, or delivery. Its published material does not establish a walk-in public warrant search or a posted fee schedule. Explain the specific record sought and ask whether a written request is needed.

The District Clerk handles felony and district-court files. The County Clerk maintains County Courts at Law misdemeanor records. A Justice of the Peace court or municipal court keeps its own case records. For JP3, call 281-316-8716; that court may request the person’s name, date of birth, and Texas driver license or ID information to locate a file.

For a city citation, contact the issuing municipal court directly. The city pages on this site identify published contacts and local procedures for League City, Galveston, Texas City, Friendswood, and Dickinson. Friendswood includes territory in Harris County as well as Galveston County, so identify the city court rather than assuming county jurisdiction from a mailing address.

When you call, have a citation, cause, or case number if available. Ask which court issued the process, whether the record is currently active, what payment or appearance options exist, and how the office confirms an update. A Texas DPS compliance or OmniBase result concerns participating-court license holds; DPS says its specialists cannot confirm an arrest warrant.
